Kanmantoo Bluestone is more of a coffee brown colour. Victorian bluestone is basalt. Kanmantoo Bluestone is metamorphic biotite schist which is different to basalt, a volcanic rock.

Every piece of stone is unique in shape, size and colour. The shades of colour vary depending on our location within the quarry. The textures will also vary. If you are trying to match building stone from previous years, you will find that the variance in colour tones will be still very similar.

When you dress the stone it gives it a rock-face finish. We use a bolster and chisel to work and remove the edge of the stone creating a rock face appearance.

Depending on the product and volume required, delivery can be from 24 hours up to 3 months.

Our stone is a natural product sourced from a quarry. Over the years of operation we have found the colours and textures to remain similar. We believe the colour will remain the same for the years to come.

Yes, you are welcome to visit the quarry at Kanmantoo. We have the option for you to load your boot or trailer with your desired stone.
